This fall, Richmond-Burton students in the Rocket Forge 3D Club collaborated with the Richmond Police Department on a real-world 3D printing project. After Officer Evan Woodward approached the group about replicating a department doorstop, students designed, edited, and printed custom versions labeled “Richmond Police.”
Through several prototypes and adjustments, they perfected the design—ultimately printing 36 doorstops and saving the department about $250.
Congratulations to our talented juniors Bella Lewey, Molly Nichols, and Levi Wiesner for their innovation and problem-solving!
